On Saturday 21st October Peter joined Cllr Nick Chapman (Glenfield, Kirby Muxloe & LFE) in Rothley for a coffee morning in support of Cancer Research UK.
The event organised by the Leicester Committee of Cancer Research UK was well attended attracting residents from across the area.
Leicester Committee has been meeting and organising fund raising events for the past 28 years.
In that time they have raised, with the help of the Community, over £1.3 million pounds.
Their fundraising events include collections, coffee mornings and sales, ladies lunches, fashion shows, afternoon teas, BBQ’s and concerts.

Speaking after the event Peter said
With one in two of us being affected by cancer at some time in our lives its important to support the work of Cancer Research UK in finding new treatments and one day a cure to this terrible illness.
