On Friday 24th November Peter was pleased to attend the Glenfield Village Christmas Lights switch on.
The event, organised by Glenfield Parish Council, attracted hundreds of villagers; with children having the opportunity to visit Father and Mrs Christmas as well as pet some Reindeer!
Glenfield Parish Council Chair, Nick Chapman, switched on the lights alongside the Chairman of Blaby District Council Cheryl Cashmore.
Speaking at the event Peter said:
Its wonderful to attend the first of what will no doubt be many Christmas Light switch ons across Mid Leicestershire.
I'd like to thank Nick and the team at Glenfield Parish Council for organising such a lovely event.
Glenfield is truly a wonderful village community
