Peter attended a public meeting at the Mountsorrel Parish Rooms this evening; to hear the views and concerns of local residents about the pending Tarmac Quarry Extension in the village.
Residents expressed numerous concerns about the noise, dust, ecological and environmental impact of the proposals; including the conduct of the quarry operators in discharging its current duties.
Speaking after the event Peter said
This evening has been useful to me in understanding the concerns of residents about the forthcoming application. I would like to thank the Parish Council for hosting to enable residents to express their views on the proposals.
Peter will continue to work with County Councillor Leon Hadji-Nikolaou to ensure that residents concerns are considered by the DCRB at Leicestershire County Council as part of the planning process.
