On Thursday 14th December Peter addressed the East Midlands Chamber, State of the Economy Conference, hosted by the University of Leicester School of Business.
The event was attended by over 100 business, public, and charitable sector delegates from across the Region.
The Chambers key priorities for the the next Government include:
1. Delivering transport and digital infrastructure fit for 21st century businesses;
2. Aligning the taxation and regulation regime with a proper vision for UK plc;
3. Fixing the broken planning system; and
4. Targeting skills reform for the realities of today’s workforce
Speaking after the event Peter said

It is important that business has a strong voice in regional Government policy; particular here in the Midlands
- which is, after all, at the centre of the country"
