On Saturday 17th February Peter invited Leicestershire Police & Crime Commissioner Rupert Matthews to Glenfield to speak with local residents about the crime in disorder issues affecting parts of the village.
Joined by Cllr Lee Breckon and Cllr Nick Chapman the Mid Leicestershire Conservative team spoke with over 200 households about their priorities for the village and concerns about crime.
Speaking on the day Peter said
I am grateful to Rupert for joining us today. Residents have concerns about anti-social behaviour and overspill of criminality from the city.
As I have always said; it is important that the county and villages like Glenfield gets its fair share of police resource and I think we made that point abundantly clear today!
