On Wednesday 27th September Peter met with Rupert Matthews, Police & Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to discuss a range of issues; including the importance of rural crime as a focus area.
Speaking at the meeting Peter said:
"Mid Leicestershire is a highly rural community comprising of over twenty villages. It's essential that Leicestershire Police continues to increase its focus on the criminality that blights so many of our villages.
The Commissioner pledged to work closely with Peter to ensure that any trends in specific rural crime are identified quickly and action taken to resolve.
